Correct illumination of the specimen is most important in photomicrography.
The best results can only be obtained if the Kohler illumination principle
is used. The light source considered should therefore be one which permits
this type of illumination to be set up (e. g. the attachable Kohler lamp for the
Wild M11/M12/M40 microscopes, the built-in Kohler illuminators for the
M20/M21/M50 microscopes, or free-standing light sources such as the
Wild 6V/3oW low-voltage lamp or the Wild Universal lamp with halogen
bulb or with xenon burner.
